John Roberts

John Roberts is an American former lawyer and current Chief Justice of the United States. He was born as John Glover Roberts Jr. in Buffalo, New York on 27th January 1955. He was appointed Chief Justice in 2005 and is still serving in the same position.


Personal Life

John was born to John Roberts Sr. and Rosemary Roberts in Buffalo, New York. He is the only son of the couple and has 3 sisters. He grew up in Long Beach, Indiana. He went to Notre Dame Elementary School for his early education. Later, he attended La Lumiere boarding school. His biography is full of his achievements. Other than being exceptionally good at studies, he was part of the student council and participated in extracurricular activities. He remained the football team captain in high school and holds the title of regional champion in wrestling.

He is happily married to Jane Sullivan, who is a former attorney. They have two children together. It is reported that they adopted both of their children. He is in a happy and committed relationship with his wife and has never gone through a divorce.

Career

John has a long, successful career. After leaving the school he went to join Harvard College and aimed to become a professor. He used to work during summer breaks to pay for his education. He graduated with distinction from college and got enrolled in Harvard Law School. He graduated in 1979 with a distinction again.

He was very capable in his field and had a great reputation at Harvard Law School. He was honored with the job of clerk for Judge Henry. Later he again worked as a clerk for the Justice William at U.S. Supreme Court.

He served as an aide to U.S Attorney General in 1982. He also served as an aide to White House Counsel Fred Fielding. He worked at the Washington D.C. law firm for 2 years till 1989. Later he returned to the Department of Justice of the United States at the time of President George H.W. Bush.

He was nominated by the President in 1992 to work in the U.S. Court of Appeals for D.C., but his nomination got expired because the presidential tenure was over and the vote was not held in the Senate. He then went back to Hogan & Hartson. In 2003, he got the position on the U.S. Court of Appeals. In 2005, he became the Chief Justice and is still serving at that position. His net worth is estimated to be around 6 Million Dollars. There is no record of any awards that may have won except for his highest honor as a Chief Justice.
