Jeff Goldblum

Jeff Goldblum (Goldblum) is a well-known American actor who has starred in many films, television episodes, commercials and theater performances. Goldblum is of Jewish heritage, and was born Jeffrey Lynn Goldblum on October 22, 1952. He was born in West Homestead, Pennsylvania to Shirley and Harold Goldblum. He continued to live in West Homestead until his later teenage years. Jeff is one of four children - one sister and two brothers. He has only one living brother, as his oldest brother passed away at the age of 23 from kidney failure.


Goldblum’s parents had an interest in show business. Sharing their interest, at the age of 17, Goldblum relocated to New York City where he studied acting and worked as a stagehand on Broadway. He would make his Broadway debut in Two Gentlemen of Verona.

After Broadway, Goldblum started his career in film. His first movie appearance was in 1974 with Charles Bronson in Death Wish. Goldblum has appeared in many popular films such as the Jurassic Park, Independence Day and The Fly, as well as television shows such as Law and Order: Criminal Intent. In addition, he has made guest appearances on Sesame Street and his voice can be heard within several video games. He is a very talented actor that can take on many different types of roles.

Goldblum is an experienced piano player, and has stated that he would have been a musician if he did not take up acting. In 2014, he and his bank were performing weekly at the Carlyle Hotel.

In addition to being a well know actor, Goldblum is married to Emilie Livingston (a Canadian Olympic Gymnast), and has two young sons. Goldblum was married twice before, once to Patricia Gaul which ended in 1986 and one to Geena Davis, which ended in 1990.
