Carmen Electra (real name Tara Leigh Patrick) was born on April 20, 1972 in Sharonville, Ohio. Her parents are Patricia and Harry Patrick. Her father was a singer too. Tara is of English, Irish, German, descent. She has one sister Debbie and four brothers. She studied at the Ann Weigel Elementary School.


Additionally, she attended dance classes at the Dance Artists studio in Western Hills under Gloria Simpson at the age of eight. Later she continued her education at the School for Creative and Performing Arts. In the 1980 she finally graduated from Princeton High School in Sharonville. Additionally, she took classes at the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School, which located in Cincinnati.

She moved to Illinois to pursue her career as a dancer. In the 1990 she began her career way at Kings Island in Ohio. For a short period of time she served as a dancer for the show "It's Magic". Afterwards, she decided to move to California, where she can reach her success. In the 1991 Carmen met famous singer Prince and signed a contract with his record company. At the same time she decided to take a stage name “Carmen Electra”. In the 1993 she released her debut album, which was same titled. She also recorded such popular singles like “Fun”, “I Like It Loud” and “Around the World”.

Since 1995 she started her career on television and participated in several TV shows. She has made her appearances as a cast member of “Baywatch” and “Singled Out” show from MTV. In the middle of the 90s, she also appeared in a nude pictorial in the famous Playboy magazine. In the 1997 she played in both moves “American Vampir” and “Good Burger”.

In the 2000 she played in the parody film “Scary movie”. She also has made her appearances in numerous films like “Hollywood Residential”, “My Boss's Daughter”, “Uptown Girls” and “Cheaper by the Dozen 2”. She also was involved in dozen TV projects with a guest roles like “American Dad!”, “House M.D. ”, “The Simpsons”, “Joey” and others. She also earned the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss as well as Golden Raspberry. In the 2002 in honor of her, was named the extinct species of insects Carmenelectra shechisme

At the end of the 90s, she dated Dennis Rodman, who is a basketball player. In the 1998 they married in Las Vegas, but few days later filed for annulment. In the 2003 she married again to Dave Navarro. Her husband was a musician. Three years later the couple got to divorce.
