Green was born in the family of Walter Green, who is into dentistry, and Marlene Jobert, an Algerian actress. Her sibling, Joy Green, was born two minutes after Green was born as they are fraternal twins. Green’s acting prowess could be deduced to having come from her parents’ genes. Her father, Walter Green appeared in AU Hasard Balthazar, a 1966 film, and her mother, Marlene Jobert, is into children’s book writing. Eva switched to English after leaving French school while she was 17. She joined an American School situated in France for a year. Later, she joined Saint Paul Drama School located in Paris where she studied acting for three years. Afterward, she progressed to joining Tisch School of Arts where she studied directing.
Career
After becoming an accomplished actress, Green returned to Paris. It was at Paris that Green attracted the attention of Bernardo Bertolucci, a film director. However, Bernardo recommended Green to improve her English before commencing any working endeavors. After successfully pursuing a two-month English coaching session, Green featured in Bernardo’s film The Dreamers in 2003.
Her international recognition was steered by her appearance in the films the Kingdom of Heaven, as Queen of Jerusalem and the Casino Royale, as Vesper Lynd. In 2006, during her peak, Green claimed the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
