Erin Moran was born as Erin Marie Moran on 18th October 1960 in Burbank, California. Erin was interested in acting. Erin’s mother supported Erin when she wanted to become an actress. Erin’s mother also helped Erin and got her signed with an agent. At that time Erin was just 5 years old. Moran got her first TV commercial at a very young age of 5. This was just a start for Erin. Soon enough Erin got a role in a TV show Daktari. Erin played the role of Jenny Jones on Daktari. Daktari ran for 3 years until 1969. Erin appeared on a feature film “How Sweet It is!” in the year 1968 in which Erin worked along =side Debbie Reynolds.
Erin also appeared regularly on The Don Rickles Show in the year 1972. Other than that, in the year 1975, Erin also appeared as a guest star on several other shows including Family Affair, My Three Sons, Bearcats!, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, and in an episode of The Waltons. The actress also gave a great performance in a radio and TV series Gunsmoke. Erin is well-known for her great performance on a sitcom “Happy Days”. Erin got this role in the year 1974 when she was just 13 years old and played a character named Joanie Cunningham on Happy Days. In the year 1982, Erin started to play the role of Joanie Cunningham in a spin-off series “Joanie Loves Chachi” in which she worked with Scott Baio.
The actress later expressed that even though she agreed to work in the spin-off “Joanie Loves Chachi”, she would have preferred to keep performing on Happy Days. Erin performed the character of Joanie really well and won the award of Best Young Actress in a new TV series. However, the spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi was canceled in the year 1983. Erin returned to the set of Happy Days for the final season.
After the cancellation both the shows, Erin appeared on various shows as a guest star. According to Erin herself, she felt depressed all the time as she was not getting any acting roles. Erin has been married twice. Erin and her first husband Rocky got divorced in 1993 after 6 years into the marriage. Erin got married to Steven Fleischmann later in the year 1993. After her acting career collapsed, Erin went through a lot of trouble. Erin had to leave her home in California and went to live in Indiana in a trailer home of her mother-in-law.
