Dillian Whyte was born on 11th April 1988 in Port Antonio, Portland. Dillian moved to the United Kingdom with his parents when he was 12 years old. Dillian became interested in boxing at a very young age. According to Dillian himself, he didn’t do well enough in his school and he was interested in boxing. Dillian said that the boxing was the only best chance he could have in life and it was boxing which saved him and changed his life. Dillian spent his teen years in Brixton, Lambeth. Whyte trained and fought at a gym Miguel’s Boxing Gym in Brixton.
Dillian started as a kickboxer and earned great success and fame. Whyte won the British heavyweight kickboxing championship 2 times and occupied the 1st position in ranking for 5 years under the category of 95 kg+ kickboxers. Dillian lost only one match during his career in kickboxing and won 20 matches. Whyte ended his kickboxing career and started to train for MMA. Dillian debuted in MMA on 6th December 2008 and professionally appeared in his first fight. Dillian won his first MMA fight in just 12 seconds when he defeated his opponent Mark Stroud by knockout. In the year 2009 when Dillian was just 20, he defeated his opponent is his first amateur boxing match.
Dillian said that this was a risk worth taking. Dillian also defeated another opponent by a knockout who went into a coma for several weeks. Dillan’s kickboxing background became the reason of dispute with the ABA so Dillian had to train for professional boxing. Dillian debuted in professional boxing on 13th May 2011. Dillian performed exceptionally well in all his professional boxing matches. Dillian was banned for 2 years in 2012 because of the positive results in a drug test report. However, Dillian came back in the year 2014. Dillian is also known by his nickname “The Body Snatcher”.
