Taylor Swift and Phoebe Buffay sung the “Smelly Cat”

Taylor Swift's 1989 world tour has featured an epic roster of special guests, with names getting bigger and weirder as it's progressed. For her final show at Los Angeles' Staples Center, Swift brought out actress Lisa Kudrow, who reprised her famous Friends character Phoebe Buffay.

It's no secret that Taylor Swift is a proud cat lady, and a devoted mother to her furry feline friends Dr. Meredith Grey and Detective Olivia Benson. But she took her love of cats to new heights at the Los Angeles Staples Center on Thursday night when she was joined on stage by Friends star Lisa Kudrow.

With acoustic guitar in hand, Swift introduced Kudrow as her fictional character, who appeared onstage to perform Buffay's song "Smelly Cat" with the singer. Suddenly, Kudrow interrupted Swift to offer some Buffay-esque critiques. "That was good, but you have to really feel the lyrics," she said to screams and laughs from the audience before showing Swift how it's best sung.

And although Friends finished its 10 series run in 2004, Lisa managed to remember the chords to the ballad as she joined Taylor on stage in front of a packed crowd. Much to the delight of the crowd, the pair ran through an impromptu rendition of the comedy ballad. Clearly enjoying the homage to her beloved character, Lisa couldn't help but smile as she stood singing next to the 1989 chart-topper.

Friends Justin Timberlake and Selena Gomez also made surprise appearances at the Staples Center show. Timberlake, Swift's "musical crush," made his first concert appearance since becoming a first-time father. The pair sang his hit "Mirrors" off The 20/20 Experience.

Indeed it seems that the brief performance was a big moment for Lisa, as she tweeted her thanks to the singer. 'So @taylorswift13 is THE best person I've ever met. That was fun. Thanks Taylor,' wrote Lisa. And while her appearance on stage with Lisa nearly brought the house down, Taylor had many more guests lined-up to help her close the 1989 World Tour.

The friends ran through a sizzling rendition of Selena's latest single Good For You, which Taylor said back in June was her 'favorite thing she [Selena] has ever done'  The char-topping BFFs wore similar racy outfits for their appearance together, and both had on thigh high black heeled boots. Taylor wore a white cropped top that flashed a hint of cleavage and a pair of white hot pants connected to her boots with suspenders. Meanwhile Selena opted for a black romper with spaghetti straps and a plunging neckline.

Among the celebs in the audience for the final concert were Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon, Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio and Ruby Rose, who grabbed a photo backstage with the singing superstar. Also there were Julianne Hough and Mario Lopez, with wife Courtney Mazza, who bumped into each other as they arrived separately.  Nina Dobrev tweeted a photo of herself with pals all glittered up and wearing fake tattoos as they excitedly made their way to Staples Center.
