Some actors get more carried away than others during the filming of a movie and actually do more than it is required by their character. Others just like to break the rules. But in both cases, there are many actors who got drunk on set!
Daniel Radcliffe
According to Daily Mail, Daniel had a small problem with alcohol but he never hesitated to let that stop him from playing Harry Potter. "I can honestly say I never drank at work on Harry Potter. I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work. I can point to many scenes where I'm just gone. Dead behind the eyes."Realising he had to change his ways, Radcliffe quit drinking and has not touched a drop of alcohol since August 2010. "You either have to change something or give into that shame," he added. In the interview he also disclosed that his production-assistant girlfriend, Rosie Coker, was "a wonderful, wonderful girl, who's far too good for me", but let’s leave that story for another time!
Jennifer Lawrence
Our beloved Jennifer has admitted that she got drunk along with the rest of the cats of Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In fact, during an interview on David Letterman, she said that she was so bored during the film making, that she used to sit on her trailer and drink one Pina Colada after the other!"We were drunk," Lawrence laughed. "That was fun. That was the first time I've ever drank at work” (but not the last, apparently). "They one time had to wrap Woody so that they could finish my close-up," the 23-year-old actress added. "They were just like, "We gotta wrap Woody. Get out of here!'"
Hemsworth continued, "You can't look at him seriously, though. Especially when he's off-camera...He looks at me like this and try not to laugh."
As for who the best kisser is? While Lawrence wouldn't pic a favorite between Hutcherson and Hemsworth, Hutcherson quipped on Lawrence, "She's a little slobbery."
Shia Labeouf
For the needs of the film Lawless, Shia drunk – a lot – a night before the he had to go to the set. And judging by the most recent film with him, drinking has become a habit already. "I did it for the movie. I didn't drink off set for no reason. I did it because, when I showed up on set the next day, my [bleep]ing eyes looked like this and my face... had that drunk bloat that I needed, that I couldn't have if that wasn't going on. Moonshine is different than liquor. Moonshine is closer to heroin."However, his aggressive behavior while drunk bothered some of the other cast members, and co-star Mia Wasikowska admitted that she actually tried to quit the film because she was uncomfortable working with the guy as his love interest. However, recent events have proven that LaBeouf’s on-set drinking is probably the least of his real-life problems.
Anna Kendrick
While filming the movie Drinking Buddies, Anna got too much into character, and actually got drunk. But in her case, it was an accident. The actress had to drink normal beer because she had drunk already all the non-alcoholic beers from previous scenes. It was very, very bizarre," Kendrick told Vulture in a new interview."The reason we wanted to drink the beer wasn't to loosen up, it was because we were working within this very specific world in the film -- the craft-beer world of Chicago -- so we wanted to be able to improvise accordingly," Wilde said in a separate interview with The Daily Beast.
There are many more actors who either had to get drunk on set or did it because it’s just way too fun to do. What do you think? Would you ever get drunk before you go to work?
