Zonnique Pullins

Zonnique Pullins, known as „Miss Star”, her stage name, is an American R&B singer. She was born on 20th March 1996 in Atlanta., Georgia, in a popular hip hop family. Her mother,Tameka Harris, is a popular R&B star who won Grammy Award for c-writing the song „No scrubs”. She has four brothers, Massiah, King, Major and Domani and two sisters, Deyjah and Heiress. Raising in a talented family, she was exposed to the music at a very young age. She inheritied her mother’s talent for the music and she always was dreamining of becoming a well known singer.


„OMZ Girls”

OMZ (Officially Miss Guided) Girls was a group of teenagers formed by Tameka, Zonnique’s mother. The group was formed by Regainae Carter, Lourdes Rodriguez, Bahja Rodriguez and Breaunna Womack along with Zonnique Pullins. OMZ Girls is known for their popular songs, as „Ain’t Nobody”, „Haterz”, „Gucci This (Gucci That)” and „So Official”. After a few month of fame, Reginae Carter and Lourdes Rodriguez left the group, leaving the other girls as a trio.

After winning a national contest, the group had the chance to perform at the Scream Tour: Next Generation, that helped them to earn a lot of visibility and to gain a faithful fan following. After the tour, they managed to sign to Interscope/Streamline Records, where they proceeded to release several songs like „Where The Boys At?”, „Lover Boy” and „Baddie”.

In the summer of 2013, they went on a tour with a teen male group Mindless Behaviour, All Around The World Tour. In the same year the OMZ Girls won the 44th NAACP Image Award for Outstanding New Artist. But in March 2015, the girls announced that they would no longer perform together as a trio and the group disbanded. This news was a big surprise, because the OMZ had been enjoying a great succes in recent times.

Solo Career

Even though the group wasn’t performing together anymore, Zonnique Pullins has continued her career as a solo performer. In 2013, she released the single „Nun For Free” featuring Atlanta Records rapper Young Thug. Also she released „Cool Kids”, „My Nigga”, „Can’t Trust Em”, and in 2016 she released the single „Worst Friday”.

In 2017 she said she would join her mother and her group Xscape for The Great Xscape Tour. In the same year she released her first EP, „Love Jones”. Zonnique also appeard in a reality TV show „T.I. &Tiny: Tha Family Hustle”, who watched the lives of her mother, step-father and siblings. Her step-father is rap star T.I.

Things to know about Zonnique

In 2014 she had an irish implant surgery, and now has bluish-gray eyes. In 2016 she was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta for attempt to gothrough the TSA checkpoint with a gun. She claimed that she had a permit, but the police arrested her afer they failed to locate the weapons permit. She was taken to Clayton County Jail and her gun was confiscated. She was released after several hours.
