Ruth Langsford

Ruth Langsford is a known face on the British television. She had been a long time co-presenter for ITV shows known as This Morning. She is now longest serving presenter of This Morning and she had appeared on other shows such how the Other Half Lives, Loose Women and Gift Wrapped. Lansford had written the columns for the Woman Magazines and for Tesco Magazines. She used her voice in bringing the attention to the issues such as dementia and to groups such as Alzheimer Society. She is an ambassador for Dogs Trust Charity.

From her bio, Ruth Langsford was born to parents, Denis Langsford and Joan in 1960 in the country of Singapore. She spent most of her early age moving from one country to another. She lived in North Africa and Germany before settling in England where she attended Saltash School found in Cornwall.

Career

After her education, Ruth Langsford started the career in the media. She had first a job where she was a continuity announcer and a newscaster for Television South West. She also worked for ITV regional station in Plymouth England. She became famous and started to appear regularly on different shows. She worked for the television up to the time it was taken over by the West Country Television. Together with her colleague named Ian Stirling, appeared on the show for the last time in the year 1992 when the station aired for the last time.

Her career had to stop a little because of the takeover of her station and she had to take up jobs where she was a presenter or a host of the shows like the Really Useful show, Mysterious West and she was among main presenters for the defunct TV travel shop that sold the holiday packages to the viewers. She had this position starting 1999 until 2005. She was worked on other shows such as Gardens of Millenium , Langsford Late and The Great British Garden Show.

In the year 1999, Ruth went back to work at ITV and she became the regular panelist on the daytime network chat show named Loose Women. Because of the appearance on the show, she was invited to be the guest host of This Morning, an award winning and daytime television program. She became a regular presenter in the year 2006 together with the co-host named Phillip Schofield.

Wedding, married, divorced, son, husband, Ruth Langsford got married and her husband is Eamonn Holmes, a broadcaster and a journalist born in Ireland. He was Sky News Sunrise’s presenter, but sometime, she co-hosted This Morning together with his wife. They met in 1997 and had their son Jack Alexander Holmes in 1997. However, they were not married until 2009. Holmes was already married and divorced his wife in 2005. The wedding ceremony took place in 2010. She keeps the same hairstyle, even if she may die her hair differently.
