O.J. Simpson

O.J. Simpson is known as a former American football star, actor, and media personality. He is most famous for being acquitted for the murders of his ex-wife and her friend.


Background and Age

O.J. Simpson was born on July 9, 1947 in San Francisco, California. His auntie gave him the name Orenthal as a tribute to the name of a French actor she loved. At two years old, Simpson contracted rickets, leaving him pigeon-toed and bow-legged. He needed to wear a couple of shoes with an iron bar for a couple of hours consistently until he was five years of age.

Simpson's folks split up in 1952. Alongside a brother and two sisters, he was brought by his mom up in the rough Potrero Hill area of San Francisco. At age 13, he joined a gang called the Persian Warriors.

Career and Net Worth

The former NFL football star became infamous for being absolved of the homicides of Nicole Brown Simpson and her companion Ronald Goldman. Simpson was a school football prodigy at USC, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1968. He later delighted in a record-setting career in the NFL and an enormous prevalence among his fans.

In the midst of a reasonably fruitful post-playing career as an actor and broadcaster, Simpson was accused of homicide of his former spouse and Goldman in 1994. He was absolved in a high-profile criminal court case. In 2008, Simpson was condemned to as long as 33 years in jail in for theft of sports memorabilia in a Las Vegas hotel in 2007. Not long after being allowed parole, he was released from jail on October 1, 2017.

Marriage, Wife, and Kids

O.J. Simpson was married twice and had five children, four of whom are living. Simpson married Marguerite L. Whitley on June 24, 1967. They had three children together, Arnelle, Jason and Aaren. His little girl Aaren Lashone Simpson, who was born in 1977, passed away prior to her second birthday celebration when she drowned in the family's pool. Simpson and Marguerite separated in 1979.

While still married to his first spouse, Simpson met server Nicole Brown. Simpson and Brown married in 1985, that year he was chosen to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and they had two children together, Justin and Sydney.
