Born on March 13, 1989, to father Guadalupe Velasquez and mother Rita Velasquez in Austin situated in Texas, Elizabeth Ann “Lizzie” Velasquez grew up in Texas with her two younger siblings. She graduated from Texas State University where she majored in Communication Studies in the year 2012. Velasquez’s delivery was a premature one with her being born four weeks before the due date. She weighed only 2 pounds and eleven ounces at the time of her birth.
